China urged not to assume that “Ukraine is today, Taiwan is tomorrow”

China is deeply concerned about the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine and its “getting out of control”, one should not compare the situation in this country and the problem of Taiwan. This was stated by Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang at the forum “Global Security Initiative: China’s solution to the security dilemma”, Guancha reports.

“At the same time, we call on the relevant countries to immediately stop adding fuel to the fire, stop blaming China and stop shouting that “Ukraine is today, Taiwan is tomorrow,” the minister said.

Qin Gang expressed confidence that since the beginning of the crisis, China has been adhering to objectivity, Beijing intends to continue to promote peace talks and “share Chinese wisdom for a political settlement” in the future, and work together with the international community to promote dialogue.

“Currently, China is the only country in the world that has enshrined in its constitution “commitment to the path of peaceful development,” Qin Gang said.

China considers Taiwan its province, and considers the visits of US officials as support for the island’s independence from the mainland.
