Russia demanded that the United States withdraw “US-NATO military and equipment” from Ukraine

The Russian Foreign Ministry summoned US Ambassador to Moscow Lynn Tracy and made a “demarche in connection with the growing involvement of the United States in hostilities” on the side of Ukraine, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The Russian side stated in the transmitted note of protest that the United States was “pumping up” the Ukrainian army with weapons and transmitting target designations for strikes against Russian targets, which “clearly proves the inconsistency and falsity of the assertions of the American side that the United States is not a party to the conflict.”

“It was especially noted that in order to de-escalate the situation, Washington must take steps that involve the withdrawal of US-NATO military and equipment, as well as the cessation of hostile anti-Russian activity,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

During the meeting, Russian representatives demanded that the United States give explanations about the explosions on the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines, and also “do not interfere with an objective investigation to identify those responsible.”

The US Embassy in Moscow did not comment on this at the time of publication.
