Indonesian ambassador to Chile gives Gelymar a gift

Puerto Montt, Chile – Ambassador of Indonesia Muhammad Anshor presented a token of appreciation to Gelymar executives during his visit to the company’s manufacturing facilities in Puerto Montt (3/5/2023). The certificate, signed by the Minister of Commerce of Indonesia, is an appreciation for the company’s commitment to doing business with Indonesia. Gelymar has been constantly importing seaweed and its derivatives from Indonesia since 1998 and won the Prima Duta Award in 2018 and 2019.

Indonesia has become one of the largest seaweed producers in the world. Demand for seaweed is growing due to its unique flavor, nutritional benefits, and ease of use. It can also be used to produce thickening and gelling agents or as a substitute for processed meat.

The Indonesian Embassy in Santiago encourages Chilean and Indonesian companies to take advantage of this business opportunity by building a mutually beneficial business relationship.
