Puerto Montt, Chile – Indonesian Ambassador Muhammad Anshor handed over certificates of appreciation to Gelymar executives during his visit to the company’s production factory in Puerto Montt (3/5/2023). The charter signed by the Indonesian Minister of Trade is a tribute to Gelymar’s commitment to importing seaweed products and their derivatives from Indonesia since 1998. In 2018 and 2019, Gelymar won the Prima Duta Award from the Government of Indonesia.
Indonesia is one of the largest seaweed producers in the world. Seaweed has a unique taste, various health benefits and is easy to process so that it is increasingly in demand by the public. Seaweed can also be used as a thickening agent and substitute for processed meats.
The Indonesian Embassy in Santiago always encourages Chilean and Indonesian companies to take advantage of business opportunities by building mutually beneficial partnerships.
