Siemens, a leading German company, recently organized an event in Santiago de Chile titled “Technology with a purpose: the future of green hydrogen and desalination in Chile.” The event focused on various sustainability topics in the country.
Notable attendees included Siemens’ Global CEO and President, Dr. Roland Busch, Chile’s Minister of Economy, Nicolás Grau, former Minister of Energy and Mining and current Dean of the Business School at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, Juan Carlos Jobet, Vice President of the Chilean Hydrogen Association and Head of H2 Business Development at ENGIE, Asunción Borrás, and Vice President of Colbun S.A, Bernardo Larraín.
Representing Verano Energy at the event were CEO Dylan Rudney, COO Collin Hamilton, CFO Juan Wegner, and Country Manager Chile Carolina Galleguillos. Verano Energy and Siemens signed a Collaboration Agreement (MOU) to support Verano Energy’s NetZero goal through the development of green hydrogen. This collaboration will be driven by Verano Energy’s project “Los Amigos de Verano,” located in the Antofagasta region, known for its exceptional solar resource.
These agreements mark the start of a groundbreaking collaboration between Verano Energy and Siemens, focused on addressing global energy and environmental challenges. The goal is to generate a positive impact and find innovative solutions that promote sustainable development and growth.
